GUIDE OF VISIT
Wuhan Tianhe International Airport offers convenient public transportation options, including metro, train, and airport shuttle buses. The metro, specifically Line 2, is a direct link to the city center and other major railway stations. The airport railway station, located within the Airport Transportation Center, connects passengers to trains like the one to Hankou Railway Station. Shuttle buses also provide transportation to various locations in Wuhan, including Wuhan Railway Station and other major bus stations.

1. Metro

Metro Line 2 connects directly to Tianhe Airport Station.

Trains run every 5–8 minutes .

Terminal Access:

T3 Terminal: Exit at Metro B Exit, take elevators to the 2nd floor of the Transportation Center, then use the sky corridor to reach the T3 departure hall .

T2 Terminal: Exit at Metro A Exit and transfer to Konggang Bus Line 3 (see details below) to reach T2’s Gate 8.

1.Follow Airport Signage to the Metro Station
After disembarking, follow clear airport signs directing you to the Tianhe Airport Metro Station, located near the terminals. The station is accessible from both T2 and T3 terminals via designated pathways.
2.Exit Based on Your Terminal
Arrival (Terminal 3) Departure from the airport: Terminal 3, second floor arrival hall → Terminal 3, second floor gates 6, 7, 8 → Subway Exit B → Subway Line 2.
Arrival (Terminal 2) Departure from the airport: Terminal 2, Gate 10, take the Konggang No. 3 Bus (free shuttle bus) (operating hours 06:00-23:00) and drop off at Subway Exit A, walk to Subway Exit A and take Subway Line 2.
3.Enter the Metro Station and Purchase Tickets
Use ticket vending machines or mobile payment methods (e.g., WeChat/Alipay) to buy a metro ticket. Fares vary by distance (¥2–¥10).
4.Board Metro Line 2 (Fozuling Direction)
Line 2 directly connects Tianhe Airport to downtown Wuhan.
Check the train direction: Ensure it’s heading toward Fozuling (佛祖岭方向).

2. Airport Buses
Multiple routes connect the airport to downtown Wuhan and key transport hubs:
Route 1: From Meilian Holiday Hotel to the airport via Jinjiadun Bus Station (fare: ¥17) .
Route 2: From Hongji Bus Station to the airport via Fujiashan Bus Station (fare: ¥32) .
Route 3: Direct service to Wuhan Railway Station (fare: ¥37), operating from 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM .
General Info:
Buses depart every 30–60 minutes from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Late-night buses run until the last flight .
Use the mini-program “机场快线 省客驾到” for real-time schedules and bookings.
Details on how to reach airport buses on your arrival
1.Exit the Terminal
After disembarking, follow signs to the Arrival Hall (usually on the 2nd floor). Proceed to the ground transportation area. Airport bus stops and ticket counters are located outside Terminal 3 (T3), Gate 12 on the 1st floor . If you land at Terminal 2 (T2), buses also stop near Gate 8.
2.Choose Your Bus Route
Select a bus route based on your destination. These buses operate from 23:30 until the last flight arrives, with departures every 40 minutes . Key routes include:
Route 1 (T3/T2 → Downtown Wuhan):

Line 1: Terminal 3/Terminal 2 → Garden Expo Park North (subway station) (10 yuan) → Civil Aviation Community (10 yuan) → Hankou Railway Station (12 yuan) → Fan Lake (12 yuan) → Qingnian Road (12 yuan) → Guqin Terrace (15 yuan) → Shouyi Square (18 yuan) → Wuchang Railway Station (20 yuan) → Wushang Dream Mall (20 yuan, ticket sales start at 21:30)
Route 2 (T3/T2 → Railway station)

Line 2: Terminal 3/Terminal 2 → Yangchahu (10 yuan) → Jinqiao Yongwang (10 yuan) → Huangpu Road Gongnongbing Road (12 yuan) → Xudong Xianpinmao (15 yuan) → Yuejiazui (15 yuan) → Wuhan Railway Station (45 yuan)

3. High-Speed Rail (HSR)
Tianhe Airport HSR Station is located beneath T3 Terminal. The Tianhe Airport High-speed Railway Station stops at Wuhan Hankou Station, Wuchang Station and several cities in the province like Xianning, Xiaogan, Jingzhou, Yichang, and Shiyan. Additional trains are added during peak travel seasons (e.g., Chinese New Year) .
